  • Loss of connection with land.  

All of this resulted in loss of the stability of the base family.

This was especially true when the communities children were forcibly taken away. This has resulted in intergenerational cycles of marginalization of Aboriginal peoples in neighbourhoods, education, housing, employment and interaction with the legal system.
